Green curry was fantastic and would have giving it a 5 star if I was a solo riderBut we waited 1/2 hr for food, and my wifes 25$ salad should have been 18$ tops compared to Calgary ... two dings to bring it down to 3 star... Price on the green curry was on point and delicious.... so fresh For sure worth a visit, but she will cost yah!!
Nice bistro to have a snack or meal on the way to Banff national park. Staff was friendly and service reasonably fast. Food (we had a combo of soup and burger) was good and the price correct. Can recommend the place.
Daphne was our server and what a delight she was. Exceptional service! The bistro and our server really made our experience an enjoyable one.Never did I have to ask for a water refill. The food came out beautifully plated. But also tasted AMAZING. She was able to accommodate all of my food modifications. I recommended the Thai curry as well as the yam burger. If we come back to Golden we will be visiting this bistro again.
This place is ridiculous. It is more expensive than any excellent restaurant downtown Vancouver where I live. Theres nothing here to justify the prices they charge.I waited almost one hour for the food that was ok (nothing exceptional, specially considering the prices).To complete the joke, the machine for the credit card comes with the following options for tipping: 18% or 20% or 25%No 15%???? As everywhere else???Come on!?!? 18% is the bottom line???I give 18% when I feel like and when the service and the food is great. Not here, sorry.I think 15% is more than enough for just one person having dinner. I had to press F4 to be able to choose other and type the amount that was equivalent to 15%. What a hassle!People at this restaurant should visit Vancouver, go out for dinner and see what great food and service is about, specially not pushing the guest to give between 18 and 25% tip for ordinary food & service.Never again. There are much better options in Golden.
Interesting, modern food, beautifully made. The interior has a cool mountain cabin feel. Good vegetarian options. Great drink options including cocktails and local beer. Pricey, but worth splashing out. Best dining experience I've had in Golden so far.Edit: July 2018 - the restaurant has changed hands and the menu has also changed. The service remains the same high quality as does the selection of drinks. The menu has changed quiet extensively; it now offers a greater variety and an even better selection for for veggies / vegans / whatnot. I had the 5 spice pork shank and it was excellent.
