Love, love, loved our stay at the Mountain Chalet! More than enough room for our family of five. The chalets, appliances, beds... absolutely everything looks brand new and is perfectly appointed and thoughtfully laid out. What a bonus to meet Darrins new son too. The overlook from the deck is worth the price alone.We loved staying in Golden too as Banff proved to be a ultra high priced tourist trap. Highlight activities included paragliding with parapets, day long white water rafting with Glacier rafting (special Cedar House discount too), Banff backcountry overnight and dont forget to hike around Takakkaw Falls located in Field. Yoho National Park and Takakakaw Falls is a mere 40 min drive and give you a true alpine experience.Were hoping to return to Golden one day and theres no question where well be staying.
Excellent food and great service. Interesting menu choices. Would highly recommend trying this restaurant if you are in the area of Golden. It was an opportunity to try some delicious seafood and game choices.
Had an absolutely wonderful experience with our two night stay at your chalet. We were in the the Dragonfly chalet. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. The furniture and beds comfortable. The kitchen was also well equipped (which was a necessity as the restaurant was closed when we stayed and we cooked our own meals). We were spoiled with a mountain view deck with a hot tub!! Amazing customer service from beginning to end. We were invited to borrow some snowshoes and poles from the office. We were also able to borrow some bear deterrent. As we were celebrating our anniversary, we had a lovely and very thoughtful gift from the staff (bamboo cutting board). Would love to come again one day. Thank you so much for making our anniversary weekend a very special one
Everything is excellent! Even things we typically disliked were prepared so well that they won us over. Staff is amazing, talented, and beyond friendly. We felt like family the whole time. The location is one of the best in the world. With amazing views in a serene hideaway. Vacation, event, or special evening out- go here!
Very beautiful quiet place to stay for a really good price!!!! Extremely happy with my stay here! Condiments (coffee, salt, pepper, stake spice,ice ect) where there as well. I highly recommend you visit the restaurant as well! The food was incredible.
