We did an over night stay at the Ponderosa. Staff was excellent. The room was quiet and spotless. Would certainly stay again.

It's cheap. The beds are garbage.Staff is fantastic though, and the view is great.Has a ton of potential if somebody wants to put some money into upgrades.
I don't like getting ripped off for what I pay for. Tourist Info in Golden yesterday, said there were only a few hotels that had a couple of rooms left. It would be helpful for them to get a count of availability from hotels by 4 or 5 pm to avoid sending travelers away. We thought we'd check this one out before we left, too. It was way over priced at $184 taxes included, for a dated room with a King bed, fridge & coffee maker and kettle. CAA not accepted. And it was the first time I turned down a free breakfast. A decent breakfast would have lessened the disappointment. Bathroom was updated, however. Next time out that way, we'll be passing through.
Awesome hotel. We crashed and had to stay their. They were very accomadating. We had a very late check out the next day and they didnt charge us. Thank you very much
