WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! DO NOT BOOK!I reserved two rooms at the Super 8 Wyndham Golden motel for July 7th, 2018. We arrived at the motel and was surprised to find that they had given our room away. No one at Super 8 contacted us to let us know that they were going to give our rooms away. We were extremely frustrated and mentally scared by the entire situation. We were stranded without any accommodations for almost 4 hours from 11 pm to 2:30 am not knowing if we would have a place to sleep or a roof over our heads. To make matters worse, the Super 8 employees did not even allow us to stay in the lobby while we attempted to figure out alternative solutions and called the police on us to escort us out. We could not find any accommodation in Golden. In the end the only place that was available was 1.5 hours away and we only arrived at 4 am the next day. We were so mentally and physically exhausted by this entire ordeal, our party consisted of two elderly people over the age of 60 and two small children under 10. As you can imagine the fear of being possibly homeless and the mental and physical stress it has caused completed ruined the rest of our vacation. Not did we have to pay extra for another accommodations, our trip got delayed by an entire day on July 8th, 2018 since we were not able to go to bed until 6 am in the morning. There was also a lingering fear on the rest of our trip not mentioning the humiliation when the police escorted us out when we had a reservation. Do not fall victim to their scam!
Least impressive of all the super 8s I've stayed at. Not good value for the money. Nearly twice the cost of others. The breakfast was lacking protein; no eggs or sausage. Minimal selection of bread products. A few muffins, a few bananas, some yogurt.
Had one night there. Just after I opened the door when I got the key cards, I met one mosquito and killed it right away. This one didnt have any blood. Before going to sleep, I decided to check if there were any other mosquitoes. Guess what? I found 5 and I killed all of them all with red blood!Dirty and old furniture and expensive! Suggest not going to this place at all. He has was 149.99 even more expensive than that in Vancouver.
We stayed at this hotel on August 20, 2018. Unfortunately all the other hotels were booked a the time. Please believe all the bad reviews, they are all true. The sheets had hair on them and the carpet had pet hair. The room was musty, the bedding was very old and dated. The tiles in the bathroom were cracked and covered up with caulking and the breakfast consisted of coffee and muffins (mine had a bite already taken out of it). To top it off, we had to pay $250 a night for this experience. After our vacation, I complained to Wyndham Customer Care and all I received is an apology form letter from the hotel management.
We arrived a few nights ago. Was busy in Golden most places had no vacancy. We went to Super 8 said they had two rooms left was charged 253 bucks . I was so disappointed the room was so gross. The chairs are stained horribly almost like urine stains or something. Bathroom was dirty. Bed unsure about woke up with bumps all over my legs arms and back. Went down early for the breakfast the area was filthy they just put out muffins but the stand was filthy dirty, the fridge that held the milk for cereal was dirty sink was dirty. For just starting to serve breakfast I was grossed out. This was an absolute disgrace for charging 253. I know its busy season and all but the price is overinflated for what you get.
